This observatory relies on rain water collection to open and close shutters at varying rates to alter how light enters the structure and occupants view the outside.  The structure is inspired by one of the largest radio telescopes in Russia, Ratan-600, and louvered shutters.  Designed to be placed on any landscape, the metal structure has a bold presence yet integrates well with the present ecosystem.
